She graduated from California State University Long Beach summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 and began her nursing career at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She continued working in pediatric hospitals until shortly after the birth of her first daughter. At this time she became very interested in breastfeeding, and transferred to working in Mother-Baby units in hospitals. Two years after her second daughter was born, in 2006, she moved to Texas. She has worked at Seton on the Mother-Baby unit since then, working both as a Registered Nurse and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a CPR instructor and enjoys teaching and precepting/orienting new and experienced nurses. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for her Master of Science in Nursing degree, earning her certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners, and is Board Certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
On her days off, you can find Jessica at the Cedar Park dog park with her two dogs, watching her daughter’s volleyball games, or at the movies with friends and family.
Jessica has a sincere interest in family-centered, holistic care. We are thankful to have her as a resource with her wealth of knowledge, especially in newborn care and breastfeeding, and as a provider who allows us to maintain same-day availability most days. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see her, we highly recommend getting to know her, especially if you are parenting a newborn or an adolescent.
Jessica is closed to new patients at this time.
Janell, BSN, RNJanell has been a Registered Nurse since 2003, and came to us from a local hospital where she worked for 10 years, and cared for newborns alongside Dr. Grady. She joined GROW when we first opened in late 2014. Though she is a talented triage nurse, her real passion is giving direct patient care. She is impressively detail-oriented, and is thoughtful in all aspects of her work.
Janell homeschools her three children and works at GROW part-time. She enjoys reading in her freetime.

Our Office Staff
You can find Lisa’s friendly, smiling face at our check out desk. She is often the person who answers our phone and schedules our appointments. She has a Bachelor of Science in Communication, which along with her calm, professional, and kind demeanor, serves her well as the ‘hub’ of our office! When not at work, she loves to spend time with her husband and two dogs, and knit for the little ones in her life. She has lived in Austin since the age of five and knows all the best Austin spots for food and live music. We are lucky to have this lovely woman as the ‘face’ of GROW – she represents us well!
Medical Office Assistant
Caitlin recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Health and Wellness with a minor in Kinesiology. As a member of a large family (she has 7 siblings!), and a previous career in babysitting, Caitlin has a lifetime of experience with children. This shows in her ability to get a smile from [almost] every patient. Her home station at GROW is the front desk, where she greets our families, checks patients in and out, plays DJ for the office, and makes sure our families have short wait times. She considers it a personal victory when she memorizes our patients’ names. Caitlin is a people person who loves all things health & wellness, and we are so pleased she is able to combine these things at GROW!

In Loving Memory
Sarah Stirton, BSN, RN
Our beloved nurse, Sarah Stirton, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on December 17, 2017. She was the best of the best as far as triage nurses go, and was an incredible person filled with kindness, wisdom, and a passion for life. She poured her heart and soul into her family, especially her son Bennett, and her husband Andrew. She delighted in holding babies, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Sarah worked with Dr. Owens at her previous practice, and followed her to GROW. She was here from the very beginning. She is a legacy, and we miss her terribly.
We have a notebook available at our front desk that we would like to fill with memories of Sarah, and notes to her son and husband. Please feel free to ask for it next time you are in the office, or you may send a note to email@example.com, and we will be happy to add it to the book.
