The doctors and staff at GROW Pediatrics are concerned about the rising numbers of COVID cases in unvaccinated kids, and we know our patient’s families are also. We have gotten an overwhelming number of calls recently from concerned families, and although we wish we could get back to each and every one of you, we are also dealing with record cases of RSV and other illnesses that are keeping us very busy.
We would appreciate families following CDC, Austin Public Health and AAP guidance with regards to travel plans, school safety and vaccination for our patients. (Additional details provided here and on our Facebook page). We also encourage those that are eligible (parents and children above the age of 12) to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Together we can reduce hospitalization and death from COVID!
Our patients who have contracted COVID have had very mild illnesses, for the most part. Please refer to these resources before calling our nurses for advice, and or schedule an appointment to come in to discuss your child’s specific needs and or risk factors with the doctor. Thank you for your understanding.
