Vaccine Policy Reassurance
In light of recent changes to the CDC’s recommended vaccination schedule, we want to reassure our patients that GROW Pediatrics will continue to follow the vaccination schedule endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. We are committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the children we care for in our practice. We take our responsibility seriously; to provide the highest level of evidence-based pediatric care along with outstanding service. Our practice has a large newborn and vulnerable patient population. It is our responsibility to protect them, along with all of our patients from vaccine-preventable diseases. Because of this, we have carefully considered our approach to vaccinations. There is no new evidence to support the changes recently made by the CDC, and there will be no changes to our vaccination policy or vaccine availability.
We understand that our policy might not be a good fit for your family and respect that decision. It is the responsibility of parents to make the decisions that align with their family’s needs, and that includes having your choice of pediatric care, even if that means that you elect another practice that can accommodate your requests regarding vaccines. If you have a question or concern about a specific vaccine, we encourage you to speak with your physician about it; we are here to engage in honest, informative dialogue and to provide you with the information needed to make an informed decision. As always, we are open to discuss any concerns you may have!
GROW is grateful for the privilege of caring for your families over the last 10+ years, and we thank you for your business.
